What roller rockers do you guys like for a bbc solid roller cam?
I need some quality without breaking the bank. Thanks for any input.

I originally had Comp Pro Magnum's in my 540 during mock-up, but ML67 turned me on to Crower stainless rockers. Man, what a difference. The Comps were crude and loosey goosey, while the Crowers were a very nicely made precision part. I pulled the Comps out of the motor before it even fired, and sold them. I say Crowers all the way.

I run Crane Gold's for 5 yrs and still going strong! That said you can't beat the price and quality of Harland Sharps and would definitely run them in any engine! Many well known engine builders use them in 1000hp+ applications!

Thanks guys for all the input. I think i've made my choice. Talked with the guys at Comp Cams and they suggested i run nothing but a stainless rocker of some kind. They said bbc roller spring pressures would kill anything else in time. Again, thanks for all your help. Bill

I got pi$$ed off at the CC rockers, the trunnions have a recess and the nut is necked down on the tip. On the particular engine I wanted to run a stud girdle, had to buy the extended nuts from CC, nobody else had them. The CC nuts were more than the stud girdle with regular nuts. Can't think of any reason to cut down the seating area between the nut and trunnion, so judged this as a vendor lock-in deal. Vendors who do that stuff don't get any more of my money.

Did you notice the CC rockers are re-buildable? Cool deal except they charge so much you might as well buy another set. So are Crowers. Crower charged me $80 and replaced one of the arms that accidentally got a little beat up without even mentioning it. Guess where I buy stuff now? Hint: not CC.

Had already decided to go with Crowers, but thanks for the input. I am also planning on running a stud girdle. Is there a problem with getting the polys for the Crowers? Already have a girdle, but no nuts. Bill
