With the room I had to work with this is what I could fit. Now I am going to get rid of all of the mechanical clutch linkage and I will be able to fit a long tube header. If I where to add an x pipe and a better flowing muffler, is there some performance to be gained?
The reducer is 2 1/2 and the pipe after that is 2 1/4 that dumps into 3" the rest of the way back.

that looks pretty free flowing after it kicks into the 3''-pipe,
just add the headers and smooth transition collector/cones to the 3''-pipe and
i think you will see alot for minimal $$-outlay. :)
looks like it is has too much back-pressure and running rich, this should clear out with the headers.
