Ok so My auto shop students and I are hosting a car show on Oct. 18 in Los Banos. The registration is ONLY $10. There will be some goody bags, t-shirts, prizes for contests and awards to the tops in each class. Registration will happen the day of the event. It will be held at Pacheco Park on hwy 152 (Pacheco Blvd) west of Hwy 165 (Mercy Springs rd). I would like to get as many people to the event as possible and try to make it a yearly event.

There will be a food booth and music as well. I am still in the process of getting the donations for the prizes and goody bags and need to contact the oldies stations to come out and support us. My kids have worked diligently in planning this event and I hope it works out well.

I was just wondering who is at least planning on going? I am trying to get some sort of idea on what kind of turn out I will be getting, I know car shows, especially first year, late planned ones like this and with no preregistration, can be touchy. I would like to make this yearly, and possibly move it up next year so that it is in September.

Hey Rod, I just checked out where Los Banos is and I figure it's about 140mi from me and that's a bit too far for my Chevelle to get to. It would take forever and be 3 tankfuls. I'm afraid I am going to have to pass, but I did forward all the info to our Chevelle club newsletter and I will remind the president for people to get back to you asap. Most guys in the Nor-Cal Club live in the South Bay Area, so they're a lot closer than me in Marin County. Ok man, good luck!!

Nice 64 BTW.

Two weeks left. Its coming together very nicely. I have received some great prizes from local businesses and the shirts are awesome. The dash plaques are coming from Oregon, donated and hand delivered. The kids are really excited about this, and a campus club will be running the food booth/bake sale. We will have a raffle, along with a "Best Poker hand" game for prizes. I am possibly going to be gifting to the furthest traveled participant.

Just look for the signs on Hwy 152 in Los Banos. Again it is located at Pacheco Park on hwy 152 (Pacheco Blvd) west of Hwy 165 (Mercy Springs rd).
