Where do you prefer to mount your shift light? I was thinking on top of the steering column but don't know if that's optimal or not. I bought one of those adjustable ones from Summit and I would like to hear from the guys that regularly run them have them mounted.

Bought one of those cheapy $35 Summit lights,used it this past weekend at the track for the first time,worked great.Mounted it to the top of the steering column with a clamp.Wired a 3 prong quick disconnect plug,so I can take it out when not being used.
