So once again on Saturday I became a LCSGWBK dude. After work Friday night I cleaned off the rubber from my quarter panels and got Ol' Blue ready for our last local show down here, Summers End at Lacey. I gathered up a couple of my friends and made plans for the morning. When I awoke on Saturday morning it was raining down here. This does not work for lame car show guys. But we decided to tough it out and go to the show anyway. So after a pretty wet morning the rain stopped and it started to clear. Attendance at he show was down a lot only 110 cars (this show has had up to 300 before). So just before the awards I decide to leave to see my son's baseball game. here I am sitting at the game and one of my friends calls me to say I won the "Best 60's" class. Now we have a running joke down here about my car never winning anything before at a real show. So of course I thought they were trying to play a joke on me. They were not! I actually won that class, my first win in the almost thirty years I have owned Ol' Blue :D. Granted there were not that many cars there and it was raining, but still I won :hurray:.

PS It took my friends until today to convince me that I had actually won. They had to bring me the chair before I would believe them.

Congrat's Greg. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Lame guy is the one that gets PO'ed and leaves mad because he didn't win anything.
I once saw a guy kick a dent into his car (f*rd, so i really didn't care) because ke didn't win "best of show". He had already won, "best Ford", "best engine" and "best muscle car".

:yes:
I bought a set of Western's in 1981 from the Posi-traction Tire store on about 130th and Aurora. Anybody else remember that store and tire brand? I had a set of Posi-traction Radials on my pickup. I seem to remember the compound being about as hard as a rock.

I hate to admit it but I bought those wheels brand new from Eric's OK Tire in Olympia on Martin way in 1979. They are Western Turbo's, the original style (not turbo II's like on the General Lee).They where covered with first generation BFG T/A's that were hard as a rock (but did great burnouts though :yes:).

I thought the "Turbos" looked pretty good on the Camaros.
My 78 Z-28 had the steel 5-spokers.....thought about upgrading but never did.
