My finishline primer gun which sprays great has come down with a problem. When you fill the cup the paint or thinner they will piss out of the nozzle. I was spraying when a stream of paint came out. I stopped Spraying and then started to spray again and it went back to normal. But then I filled the cup up with thinner and it pissed right out of the nozzle. To much beer maybe.(beat someone to that).

Sounds like your needle packing might be too tight, or the spring that returns the needle is gummed up or shot. On devilbiss' website they have exploded diagrams of the guns, you can get an idea of what might cause the needle to stick from there. Make sure you lube the needle and all other moving parts as well, every time you use the gun.

The only way it stops is when I turn it in all the way tight.

Brand new gun. I used it maybe 8 times.

If thats the case(new) stop fooling around with it and take it back to where you got it and exchange it for a new one.Devilbiss has excellent customer service.

I have it for over a year and just started to use it. I also got it from Eastwood. I don't think you can return a used item after a year.
