Today - 100 years ago General Motors was born. While many believe the 50's 60's and early 70's were their finest "hour" ( I know I do!) The future of GM is what's important to America now.

My 1969 El Camino was on the road this morning, taking a WWII Navy veteran on a mission and I'll take it out for an anniversary drive tonite as well...

 to GM! They made the first car I ever bought, a 72 impala. Oldest car I've ever owned is my 68, and the newest I've owned is my 04 p/u. I also had several novas, camaros, pickups, and even an olds in my time so far too.
:beers:

Reminds me that my uncle who was a Chevy salesman had a gold (50th anniversary) 58 Impala 2 door hardtop. One of the prettiest Chevys I've ever seen. My uncle wanted to sell it too me but my Dad wouldn't let me buy it. Dad's logic was than any new car was better than a used car so and I got a new '59 Byscayne instead.

I'll bet one 50th anniversary gold Implala in good condition would be worth a fortune today.

Here's one for you to check out, Larry:

Love that one year only style and the birth of the Impala line. I could do without the skirts.

I just recently started working at a Chevy dealership and no body said a thing about this. You would think the dealers would be aware, guess not.
