My friend Drew [we'll call him Drewshbag] just traded 10 lobsters for this running but rough 67 cutlass 2 door!

money

Best friend's dad in HS traded some lumber for a 1960 F-100. That was a great shop truck.

Another friend traded some stereo equipment for a 1950s Alfa Romeo back in the early 70s. Turns out, it's a very special Alfa, with a hand made aluminum body by Zagato, one of 6 made that year. He was offered $125,000 sight unseen in the early 90s. He turned the guy down. Still has it.

I was given a running 6 cylinder/3 on the tree '65 Chevy fleetside pick-up (with the box full of extra sheetmetal). A friend of a friend had too many projects and his was was giving him major grief. Stipulations of the deal was I had to come get it that same day.

I traded a Browning pump shotgun for a 70 Torino with a 351 Police interceptor.
Traded a .22 riffle for a 66 Ford Comet Gt.

The best one is I offered Andy69 a 6pack on Old Milwaukee for all 3 of his Pickle Buckets in his front yard.:D
Sounds like Andy would be getting the better end of the deal.l:)

I need to meet this guy.

I was doing some landscape work for a guy. He told me if I mowed his grass and mulched his flower beds, he'd give me a 77 jeep cj-7 that was sitting in the yard. I performed all the work and as we surveyed the jeep, he told me it didn't have the original motor in it. I checked it out and it had a 67 buick 430 in it from a Riviera with the dual quad option. I was commenting how cool it was and the guy bet me $50 I couldn't get it running by dark. I left and came back with gas, oil, plugs, wires, coolant, cap, rotor, points, tools and a trailer. After working on it for about a hour and a half, I was driving it around the yard and onto the trailer. What a sweet deal! The mulch cost me $100 so a full days work and $50 got me a cool jeep that I drove for 2 years as a daily driver.

Scott,
I have a bag of 11 Lobsters here and I'll trade him for the car. See - he comes out ahead on the deal.
I've heard of what women will do for a Lobster dinner..........tell him that. ;)

Traded a 283 engine for a 63 Impala 4 door that I drove for three years then sold it back to the same guy for $75.
Traded a stereo for a 49 ford P.U. that had a 289 and C4 trans. When the trans went out I gave the truck away.

I traded an hardy "Thanks, see ya!" for a 1983 Chevy S-10 Tahoe 4x4. It's got perfect, straight sheetmetal, no rust!, real nice yellow and white original paint and a nice tan deluxe interior with A/C that works! 2.8 Engine runs, but as usual, has a knock. Guy had it parked in his garage after it started that and it sat for quite a while. He thought it wouldn't run. I primed it, got in, said the above and drove it away!! Think a 350 will wake this one up just fine...

I also traded a weeks work in a repair shop (I was on 2 weeks vacation from my regular job) for a bright yellow with black stripes Ford Fiesta! It developed a knock two days later so I just drove the dog crap out of it FOR TWO YEARS!!!:D Then sold it for 300 bucks!
