I am looking for some thing to put on my engine. I would prefer polished aluminum. Thing is I need 3 holes, one for the breather tube, one with 2 holes for filler and pcv valve. It also has to clear the stock A/C bracket. Any recommendations? I thought about 72 z28 ones, but I am not real thrilled about paying $150 each for valve covers. Would like to keep it under $150 for the pair. Anyone know where to find some?

I also want to change over to a quadrajet. Stock low compression 350. Putting it on a weiand 8004 manifold. Recommendations as to where to buy this carburator appreciated.

I understand that, I need valve cover with 1 hole one side and 2 the other, finding one seems to be quite hard. I can find chrome ones, but they tend to look kind of cheap to me. I see them with one hole in each, but how they heck am I supposed to put oil in? I don't want to put a filler tube in as that would look funny on a 72.

You can remove the pcv & pour the oil in the pcv hole in the valve cover. I have a set of chrome "Chevrolet power" valve covers that have 1 hole each - I've been filling the motor that way for years.

You can get your q-jet from Sean Murphy induction who also sponsers this site,we all recieve 10% discounhts on all q-jets.

Sean will setup the q-jet to work well right out of the box dield in for your particualr setup.

Tell Sean Scott from t/chevelle rec him to you.

Aluminum valve covers are great about sealing but the layout of the holes can be problem. I tried a set of cast aluminum Holley covers on my small block and the holes were over a rocker. Even with an oil baffle I was getting oil splashed in the PCV and then in the intake and then into the cylinders and on the plugs. I switched to steel with decent oil baffles between the rockers and my oil problem went away. Tall covers do help but I needed short covers to clear the A/C bracket.
