There have been 'other' sizes in the past and some are still available. Probably limited now by economics. The vendors look at sales and only mass produce the ones that sell the most. Lowers production costs and inventory. No reason to keep all those sizes in stock for a FEW sales. Just punch it out another .010 or .020 and use what's available. The labor cost is the same. In the rare case that you might have a need (very rare engine) you can have them made (get out the wallet). But think about it, with today's better materials and 200k mile engine life, two rebuilds SHOULD be enough.
