Getting closer to finishing this Chevelle but I am a little stumped on this. The left and right turn signals work with the headlights or parking lights off. Soon as I turn the parking or headlights on the right turn signal quits working or goes extremely slow. The left continues to work. It seems the left flashes faster than the right with the parking or headlights off. The hazards work fine with the parking or headlights on or off.
I tried the usual going around the grounds and cleaning them up a bit. Also using a temp extra ground wire to make a better ground. I can manually flash the blinker and it works.

If you have checked/cleaned up the ground connections you may have a supply problem; too low voltage on the hot side.

Check those connections, in the socket and any plugs.

It cal also be the turn signal switch in the steering column.

The right side contact may be corroded.
If you very carefully disassemble the switch and clean all the contacts everything may work.

It working different with the park and headlights on suggests you may also have low voltage supply to the signal switch.

That can be the fuse block or any of the connections. Again, look for corrosion.

It is common to have corrosion in the fuse block if the windshield has leaked in the past.

I think I am getting somewhere. I changed the fuse for the signals and cleaned up the connection. It didn't work. I swapped out the hazard flasher with the turns signal one and walla it works. I went down to AutoZone and got a replacement flasher but then brought it home and it didn't work. It said heavy duty on it though. The hazard flasher said 552 ref no. 240933. Will try another...
