Is that right? I didn't buy an engine kit for this rebuild and I have everything except the oil pump to main cap (block) gasket.

If no gasket, any pointers to insure I don't screw it up? :) TQ value?
 
Thats 65ft lbs with stock bolt but its lower like 35-45ft lbs for an ARP oil pump stud with nut (using ARP"S thread lube on threads) if you happen to be using one.

I would cetainly avoid using any kind of a sealer at all. It is not needed and any excess that might be squeezed out has nowhere to go but deeper into the oiling system which could cause all kinds of problems.

I"ll be using a Lag-bolt from Lowe's. Zinc coated for better oil viscocity. :D

I kid.

It's a stock type bolt. ARP on the rods and heads left me eating PB&J for weeks!
