Ok, I still smoke lucky strike and yes they are bad for me.
Recently the Great state of NY decided it was going to save all of are lives by making the cig. companies change the paper to fire safe
this means the cig. goes out if you do not puff enough. So we do not burn down the house while smoking in bed.
Being a non filter smoker that changed the flavor of the cig.It tasted like
crap
So I started to get them from another state, The flavor was back.
1 year later the same thing has happened. I called RJ reynolds and was told that they now make every Cig in the country with the fire safe paper.
I now have found a reason to quit.
Any one have the same trouble.

I stopped about 4 years ago and remember talking about this, because you would put it down for a minute and it would be out.I don't think the flavor changed for me, Marb Mediums was what I smoked when I stopped.

interesting topic since I just went and talked to my doctor about chantix today. I've smoked for 24 years, starting at age 14. I've heard mixed reviews about it but figured I'm not going to quit if I dont try. I have tried cold turkey and have yet to be successful.

I quit 6 years ago, My son walked up to me a a cruise and said, can I ask a favor from you, I said sure anything, he said dad will you quit smoking! I dropped it like my hand was on fire. I have never so much as told a white lie to my boy and I wasn't about to start. I smoked for 31 years. One of the hardest things I've done. Nothing like your kid to help motivate you  I know there are all kind of drugs to help, but bottom line is if you REALLY want to quit, you can. You just need to be stronger than the tobacco co.

Rocky, that is awesome and my son asked me way back when, "Daddy, how come you don't smoke like Mommy?" and I told him that I never liked to smoke or smell it and I wanted to live long enough to see him graduate from College.

He is now 17 and hates to be around when someone is smoking. When my wife smokes, he will either leave the room or go outside.

Another thing, my dad told me when I was little that smoking will stunt my growth...I wished I would have at least tried them. ;)

That's what I used.

It works. 32 years at a pack a day since age 10 is a tough habit to break.

If I can do it, anybody can.

All of my patients have CANCER..... all kinds of Cancer.. guess what... Cancer kills people.. and guess what.. Smoking cigarettes causes Cancer... you do the math. If after doing the math, you still need a reason like what kind of paper is used to roll the cancer stick...as a reason to quit.. well, I'm sorry... I just don't get it. :(

Stop Smoking.. death by way of Lung Cancer is one of the uglier ways to die of any cancer.

I smoked from age 13 to age 34

"Tried" to quit many, many times over the years. Thought it was always the hardest thing to do. Hell once I quit for longer than a year then I picked it back up.

I quit coldturkey almost 2 years ago. Decided I didn't want to poison my body anymore.

You have to want to quit. Period. All the other times it seemed nearly impossible but that was cuz I didn't really want it. Once I made the decision to stop it was the easiest thing I ever did and now I wonder why it took me so long. Amazing now how food tastes and things smell.

My mother-in-law just died of lung cancer, I was with her when she took her last breath! I wish I would have taken a 15 second video every 10-15 days from the time she was diagnosed, until she took her last breath, I guarantee if that video wouldn't make you quit smoking nothing would. When the morphine fails to work the ride out of town is not a smooth nor pleasant one.

Go out and sell something if You have too, the Chantix worked great for Me, I smoked for over 20 year's. It Helped Me tremendously, But, You do have to WANT to quit for anything to work.

It has some side effects for some people, but they are easier, and less painful then DYING from Lung Cancer. My doctor said He's prescribed it alot, with no side effect problem's reported to Him.

My gpa smoked lucky strike since he was a teenager. He got lung cancer and had to live with us. I watched him go from living a normal life to being in a wheel chair in a 3 week time period. I had to watch him die and the last thing he said to me was im sorry i will miss ur bday cuz it was like 5 days till my bday. After all he was going through he was still worrying about my bday  give it up man. Worried about the flavor? come on they all taste ****ty anyway. idk touh subject for me. u can do it
