Am I doing something deeply wrong here?

Hi guys,

Bought an inside mirror from a '70 Malibu Saturday and I really have no clue how to place it on the roof of my '68 Deluxe Sedan, am I missing some sort of bracket in my roof?

The silver bracket bolts to the roof with the two tabs pointing toward the front.

Are you sure?, there isn't any screw thread in the roof....

Self threading screws are used. Did you try holding the bracket in place?

Thanks for your answer and pic, I suppose the '68 300 Deluxe 4 dr and the '70 4dr Malibu has different mounting holes on the roof.

That pic was taken from the red '70 on your photobucket?

Well... Drilling a few holes aint that bad I suppose

Yes, that would be the car. Maybe the 68 mirrors were attached differently. :thumbsup:
