For all of you that recommend these shocks in previous posts. Which ones are you running? Looks like summit offers the heavy duty monotube style. Are these the ones st about 70 bucks a pop or is their a part number I need to know about? Feel free to contact me privately as I would like to order these sooon. Thanks. Oh yeah, they are for a 70' front and rear.

I just looked through summit again. Found a sport Hotchkis Shock. The rear ones look identical to a Bilstien , but the matching fronts are black and do not. They are a little more @ $90 a pop. Are these made by Bilstien and are they a better shock?

I want a good ride with great performance. I have Global west uppers, B-body spindles (negative roll setup), large front and rear sway bars, Eibach lower pro springs on all 4 corners, polyurethane bushins throughout, AGR quick ratio steering box, 4 wheel discs, 17" wheels with 40 series tires and all the ball joints rod end etc. are new. Suggestions on shocks appreciated.

Get the Hotchkis versions, they're valved to work with the higher spring rates in lowering spring sets. They are matched to the Hotchkis springs, but your Eibach's will be fairly close to them in rate.

I'm running Bilstein part #'s (as shown on Summit Racing website):

BSN-F4B460929HO (rear) - Application for many GM A and B bodies, including Caprice/Impala SS apps through 1996.

BSN-F4BE32972 (front) - These are a Camaro/Firebird 1967-1976 application.

I bought these in September 2002. I seem to recall that's what Hotchkis was using with their coil springs at the time. I bought them from www.shox.com as they were cheaper than what Hotchkis sold them for. I can't confirm this memory though! Today, Hotchkis has their revalved shocks, that's NOT what I am running.
