Lloyd im not sure about getting one for 50.00.I have heard of people using broadway title I believe is the name. Its like 150.00.They basically give you a out of state noterized bill of sale. You will want to run a check with the police to make sure its not listed as stolen and check with the bmv to make sure its not registered or already in someones name. Now if you are the owner and just lost the title you can apply for a lost title from the bmv

I had a situation with mine. I bought the car, and the guy I bought it from had the lien title but never turned the final paper work into the DMV. So I took the paper work to the DMV and they said I had to do a VIN verification. I could either have the DMV, the Highway Patrol, or a private company do it. I found that the Ford Dealer where I was getting my body/paint work done had a guy that could do that. You might contact them if that is the sitation you are in. I

Lloyd do a quick search of his user name in the user list link. in the blue bars at the top of the page. His info is there.

EDIT: Never mind. just follow Deans link :)
Yeah i clicked on the link above! He told me he still does it and told me all the information. It costs $50 and should be back in my hands in a week!

Thanks,
Lloyd

I'm sorta lost here or maybe it's just michigan :p But to get a title here, you get a form from the dmv, have the police come and verify the vin have them fill out the form, take it back they do a check and you get a new title. Was like 25 bucks. So why would you go to these title places?

well you cant do that in texas! texas requires a title for every year of car! I think its alabama that is 1974 and older they dont require a tilte but I know you cant get away with it here! And as far as going to your dmv you cant do that here either!
