I worked 10 days in June & 10 in July. That's still too much! What do you think?
I need more vacation!!

That is my normal schedule all year. I wish I had more vacation also.

Well of the first 182 days of this year, hubby and I were on the road 80 and about half of that was laid up in motels or truckstops.
Hello Mama! For some reason I do not miss that part of driving!:D I do remember trying to go owner operator in the late 70s and only getting home 32 days that year and I still went broke. I had a lot to learn about brokers back then!

That's what mine is.
So you took a week vacation in both months. I always schedule mine the same way. I have a 7 day off time once a month but I always put my vacation time either on my 4 days or 4 nights giving me 14 days off. What's your monthly schedule?

Sounds like about the same. 4N 3 off 3D 1 off 3N 3 off 4D 7 off
Paper mill.

Canadian schedule. Same as me. I'm at an oil refinery. I just worked off of my 4 nights this morning. Isn't a shame to have a hangover all day when you haven't even had the pleasure of drinking?

Almost anything beat the old 7 day swing, be better if you didn't even have to go to work, but I guess thats coming some day.

My wife has a new 2 week schedule: Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon and the following Monday 7pm-3:30am. She hasn't worked more than 80 hours a month in the past 12 years and still makes decent money.

I did the 4 on, 3 off schedule for 4 1/2 years. It got old quick, too tiring to get anything done if you were on the night shift, and the day shift started at 4a.m. too, so you were either in bed by 8p.m. or tired all day. I'll take my 5 on, 2 off I have now, thank you. I did take this week off, though. Got a nice condo in Waikoloa on the Big Island right now, enjoyin' it. ;)

I am 55 and retired from family owned business at 48 7 years ago. My wife went to work for State of Texas with super insurance. I try to appear busy as possible tending to 200 head of cows to keep from being told to get a real job. This is my reward for 30+ years of directly dealing with the public.

No watch, no calender, and a do not give a hoot attitude. It Don"t get much better.

:)I retired three years ago, but now I have to work again. I work at different times of the day and night, never know the hours, always different, sometimes one or two hours, then maybe eight or twelve, never know.

Rarely skip a day, and no sick leave.

Know what it is?

Answer.

Setting here letting the b*** s*** fly on the body forum.:)
