I was checking out all the classified places and even got some pics of a elky from another member and my wife said I need help and I needed car-aholics anonimus. I told here it was a uncureable disease. She doesn`t get it but she knew I was a gearhead when we met. She loved to drive around in my old 69 elky. Funny how things were ok untill we got married. Now it`s almost like I`m cheating on her if I look at a car for sale. All I know is I`m going to be in a position to buy another car soon and hopefully she doesn`t walk like she said she would. Sure will be tough to find a replacement for her,lol.

I had to chuckle, because she thinks the car will actually be "done" someday
My wife knows it will be never done. Part of it is motivation, part is I have too many different projects I keep starting.
No wife (yet) but I've got the greatest girlfriend a guy could ask for...she drives an 01 Camaro, a V6, but she's lusting after a silver SS with the hoodscoops and black stripes--but she really likes my Chevelle, we just rode back on a 3 1/2 hour road trip, bad weatherstripping and blown header gasket, and she was happy as could be. I also have a 78 Ford Fairmont that I'll be starting my 4.6 DOHC Cobra motor swap in, and although the car isn't her *favorite*, I take great pride in the fact that one of the first things she tells her friends is "He has a Ford Fairmont he's putting a Cobra motor in!" Plus, she's a fabulous cook, and gorgeous..... I'm doing alright I suppose!
She knows the hours it took to get the Chevelle on the road again, and not once did she complain about it. In fact, when it was getting up towards crunch time, one of my buddies told me to come out and have a beer, but I told him I was too busy. my GF said to me-- "you go hang out with your friends, and drink a beer, then go get your car done!" and she routinely cooks me dinner after work when she knows I'm busy and then boots me out the door! :yes: Anyway, sorry to ramble. I thought I had it good before, but she's really something! And trust me, I let her know too! and before you ask....NO YOU CAN'T HAVE HER! lol Justin

It's not a ring, it's an anti-fun device. You need to find the antidote. I found mine is something called Tanzanite. A couple years ago I took some cash I made off ebay (lightning stuck on 3 auctions!) and had a custom made Tanzanite ring made. Dude ordered in several different stones until we found the one that would be the best. Then set it in platinum with diamonds on the sides. I had thought about having a greenish Opal inlay also done, but it's too soft a stone for daily wear. She gives me crap sometimes, but I just smile and say "at least your ring looks nice".

My wife knows it's an addiction. I don't smoke, drink, gamble, or do drugs so if this is the worse thing that I do, then that's not too bad. Got 3 cars, working on my fourth!

30 something years of marraige, for years my wife would say "get rid of that stupid SS Camaro. It's too old (was 8 years old at the time)It's not worth anything. Now, after 39 years of the same car, it's finally worth something. In March, came home with the 69 Chevelle, engine worked, body done, no rust, dents or bondo, she wasn't happy. I mention $7000.00 for an SS Chevelle in this shape is a steal. I think she hopes that someone else steals it. I mentioned it's worth more than what was paid, so she said "then sell it, and make something on it". I love my Car.....er..I mean, My Wife!!!
