Hey Mr 64 (Tom), I heard that you're not gonna be able to make it this year???? Did the money tree in your back yard die this spring? I know it was dry out in CA this winter...

Hope the tree is alright. I wanted to get some seeds from you; see if one will grow in this red clay dirt in TN. Although the money would be nice, I thought it would really add to the minimal landscaping here at the new house, too.

:( Well you got it right Chuck,no rain no money on the trees, those suckers have dried right up,we don't even know if they'll come back next year so I guess we'll just have to start saving for the trip so we can come see all our friends at CB 08.

hope yall have a good time, and can't wait to hear how things went.

To all the I-40 Eastbound Caravan keep the shiny side up and we will see you next year. :D

Well, with so many drop outs, I guess it's time to poll to see who's still planning on going with us. Grandpaw Nixon and I will be in North Little Rock on Tuesday and on to Memphis for lunch on Wednesday. Who's with us?

Bob,
If you'll backtrack through this section, you'll see that I've asked this question a few times, with ZERO responses. Thus, I have just presumed that Zac and I will be on our own!

Gino and myself and a Camaro will be waiting here in Memphis

Bob do you by anychance have a pic of the 8 track player brackets you could post
Also you got the email with the phone list?

Mike I have set of original 8 track holders I bought off Ebay that were restored. If Bob's camera ain't working let me know and I will try to photograph mine.

Looking forward to seeing you guys in Memphis, the only problem is which car am I bringing. Trying to get the blue 69 SS ready but running out of time.:noway:

I'll try to dig it out this weekend Mike. I might bring it with me so you can get pictures and measurements. It's nothing like the one in your post. It has a filler piece that goes between the player and the dash.

Also, Bill sent me the phone list too. I was wondering if there were any to be added to it or if someone else would like a copy?

Thanks for the responses so far.

Zac and I (if he goes) will probably be leaving the OKC area sometime on Tue.
DAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're a bad boy!
I've been in Seattle this week and got a call yesterday that my wife had a heart attack and was in ICU. I just got home and up to the hospital to see her about 11pm tonight. She will be getting an angiogram at 8 in the morning and the results will determine what has to be done next. Sooooooooooooooooooooooo, for now, EVERYTHING is on hold for me.
Is anyone driving through to Nashville on Tue?
I have no grief with it.
Soooooooooooooooooo, am I going to be by myself on Tue going through to N'ville?

I'm sorry about the lack of respose Tom but I thought you were driving straight through to Nashville on Tuesday. Most of us are driving to Nashville on Wednesday. Some of us will Join up in the LR area Wednesday Morning and drive to Memphis to meet the guys from there and have lunch.

Ditto.....I thought Tom was driving straight through on Tuesday. :(

If I'm solo, I'll leave NW Arkansas Wednesday morning and roll into the NLR HI Express lot around 9:30 or so, depending on how long I'm in Conway to pick up Albert's doors.

If my bro comes with me, I'll probably spend the night in Hot Springs with him on Tuesday and still see you guys around 9:30.

Zac and I FINALLY got the tranny out of the 70 last night and put it in the fixture. All I did was drain it and pull the side cover. There were no obvious problems that I could see visually, so I guess it needs to come apart for closer inspection. I don't know when I'll get that done because I'll be working on the plane Sat and on Sunday I have to pay attention to a couple of Moms:D. So it looks like it will be next week before I can rip the tranny apart and determine if it needs parts. I have a couple of spares I can stick in if necessary, but I'd prefer to put this one back in A-1 condition and put it back in time to head east. :)

So.......let's make a list of those departing from LR on Wednesday morning. Bob, Chuck, Les, Chris and Justin, me, Greg (gold 69), and Pete? Haven't heard from Pete in this thread for a while. How 'bout it Pete? You still in?
