This steering column was in the trunk of the ’70 I bought a while back. The car was missing the column inside the car so, I don’t know if this is the right one for it or if it is one that someone was going to put in it.

I can’t fine any part numbers on it anywhere except for a D-1-67 on the harness clip. Which would leave me to think 1967, but the column has the ignition which I know wasn’t available until ’69.

Anybody know what year or application just from lookin at it?

I've seen ones like that before.
I believe it's from a 78-81 Malibu or El Camino.
The knobs for the turn signal and the tilt are what tells me that.

It is a 69 -72 Camaro/Firebird, GTO, Chevelle, GS, 442 tilt. I install a tilt in every car I have, regardless of price (I'm 6'4' and 290 lbs, lol). It probably fits more cars, but I recognize it for the stuff I have installed it in. Believe it or not, you found 300 bucks in your trunk. Keep it.

Can you get a picture of the area where the ignition lock is? I believe the casting around that area isnt the same through the years. But the 2 arms do look to be late 70's and early to mid 80's.

it will fit any chevelle from 1970 thru 1972 its just like mine except for the handles the mounting and harness looks the same

Thanks for the replies fellows.

I'll get a couple more pics of it tonight. Are there any casting numbers anywhere on the columns?
