When you said you sold your 55 gasser I thought " Dang , I dream of owning something like that and here he is selling it ......... " Thought you where wrong for doing so . BUT now that I see your " why" and where you are now , it all makes sense . I LOVE your "J " , great looking gasser . I hope you keep us posted on your trips out with it . (y)

WOW, I clearly remember the popularity of the Henrys. Back in the 60s when I was going through pre-med, one of the guys I went to college with commuted every day with a modified Henry. Ran like a scalded dog!

A friend of mine has a pretty nice Willy's with a blown hemi.

There is one for sale near me. It would be looking if needed more stuff, there is also a Vega wagon project that I want more than one of these. Though I have a 73 Honda CB750 on its way to me now.

My buddy Roger has one too.
His had been a strip only car for many years .
Had several different Dodge engines, starting with a 413
Then a couple of straight 6 Chevy engines
Now it’s a 355 SBC
He’s hoping for easy 10 sec 1/4 times

I've done a few restorations and engine builds in my time but the prior owner out did me on this one. I look at the carb linkage for dual Holleys that sit 1/4 inch apart and my brain explodes.

Our team has a 37 Chevy Gasser, a 51 Anglia Gasser, and 2- 55 Chevy Gassers.
Admittedly, the "J" is the red headed step child.

All we need to complete the iconic grouping is a 40 Willys
