I've installed new sunvisors and hardware in my 69. I cannot get them to tighten up enough to stay up in place when not in use. And I'm not talking about they eventually come down as I'm driving and the vibrations make them come down. I'm talking just loosely hanging there.

I wrapped the end that tightens with teflon tape to make it bigger and hopefully grab better as I tighten it, but no difference.

What can I do?

Thanks. I didn't think about looking at that end, I just tried to tighten the mounting end. I'll definitely try this.

I tried tightening the insert like the video shows with no luck. The insert does not come out like they show in the video, so I just took a pair of pliers and tried to squeeze on the visor where the insert is. Didn't make any improvement.

Any other suggestions? The visors and hardware are all brand new, and it's happening to both visors. thanks!
