Reman calipers from Rockauto ok for a driver? Doing a front disc conversion on a 64 and has everything except calipers and mastercylinder.

I don't see why D52 calipers from Rock Auto would be a problem but since you don't have any calipers why not something more modern from GM? PS I actaully have the D52's I took off my car with under 100 miles on them that you can have Marcus but I don't know what shipping would be

Not sure if any other GM calipers fit on oem brackets? There are other like wilwood that does. Think D52 will work fine for this car?

Greyhound no longer has freight shipping, so UPS ground in one or two packages, calips in plastic baggies, might be the cheapest option, versus flat rate USPS packing, and if spindles involved, a 2-foot pallet, thru "Unishippers" might be the way to go.

FYI - He is in Sweden so there is no USPS or UPS Flat rate going overseas.
Yes Im from Sweden Usps has decent pricing shipping international so maybe Ricks offer will work. Priority mail international may work ok. Especially if they fit in a medium box and arent to heavy. Think 20 lbs is the limit. Rick has helped me several times in the past.

USPS flat rate does work, in America, and many Countries will also migrate ship price as well, not all {Australia, Venezuela, Argentina and Hong Kong come to mind }, just some (ground for overseas usually means going by cargo ship = IE slow boat= less cost), and from what I had been told , UPS stands down to FedEx, as primary shipper out of country, or maybe that's just for "Express Mail". Also, USPS "Insurance", as it was explained to me "Insurance stops when package leaves the dock / tarmac", try accepting that when it's for a $4,000 set of Flatslide carb set that disappeared. On a side note, the customer (Poland), that received the replacement set for that loss, notified us that he had just received the original package, 5 years later, and no clue where it had been.

Marcus they’ll fit in a medium box and are under 20 lbs do you need the backing plates and caliper mounting bracket? They were another 6.5 lbs and will need a larger box, I threw in SS braided lines that have paint from when the 2nd shop sprayed Summit Chassis black on the bottom of my car, notice the rotors have different thickness of disc from front of rotor and rear that’s what the problem was

Sounds perfect 🤩
Only calipers will be fine have new backing plates and brackets already.

Rick, You are a good egg.
Why did you remove them? I did a 100% rebuild/restore on my brake system a few years ago and went with rebuilt D52 calipers. I think they are fine.

I could never get them to stop very well so I ordered Wilwood Dynaforged 12"+ front brakes, before taking these off I assembled the 2 pc rotors and had everything ready to swap so I pulled the calipers then rotors and started putting the Wilwood brakes on, after bleeding and test driving bedding the brake pads I was putting the D52 parts away and when I picked up the drilled and slotted rotors I noticed that each rotor had different thickness from the front pad surface than the rear pad surface, so the rotors were the whole problem
