36 years ago today, an 18 year old kid was grinning from ear to ear, driving his new 66 Chevelle SS396 from Rochester, IN to its new home in South Bend. Happy Anniversary to me!😁

Sometimes getting old is worth it, continue to enjoy another 36 birthdays, heck, even more if possible.

Nice! Now that I think about, I'm coming up on 39 years with my 67. Bought in WV, drive home with a 383 SBC we took back with us for it.

Time flies, been married, divorced, got two kids moved away now... All I have left is the Chevelle. Guess I'm better with cars than I am with people. šŸ˜†

Bob, that is really cool you have owned your 66 SS396 Chevelle for 36 years!! šŸ‘
And I truly hope all goes well with the divorce, not an easy life event for sure. I went thru one 11 years ago.

Hopefully the car doesn’t cost you too much this time around. Sometimes the wife will use it against you knowing you want to keep it. I’ve seen it happen a couple times.
I'm lucky she's been really good about the car and my musical equipment.

Thanks Chris! I appreciate it man. That's why I've been doing the cover songs. Helps keep me occupied. Just did Rapid Fire from Judas Priest a week or so ago. It's fun, and gets my mind off of it.

My favorite color combo; Lemonwood Yellow and Black top. That's what I would have ordered in 1966. Sorry about the divorce, it's a kick in the pants and wallet. I was married 22 years, with 2 years in the divorce process alone. Remember two things. 1.) You're not alone, there are people who can share in your pain 2.) You are 100% in charge of your future and that goes for how to decorate your new life :)

Don’t get to caught up celebrating with the girls that dance with most of their clothes off after you finalize the D, they cost a Lot of $$$ 🫤🄳🄳🄳

I've heard in some cases it's cheaper in the long run to rent rather than buy.

Congrats man! I married a Hoosier! As you know we had our 52nd last month! Hope you have many more & don't sell the Chevelle. (I did as you also know)....at least we dated in it! šŸ˜‰

Try and save your marriage if possible. My wife of 43 years still breaks my Ball* but I can't live without her she helps me with 70 all the time especially bleeding brakes putting on hood, pull engine. Good decent gals are getting harder to find these days. Nice you get to keep your car that long.

I have 53 great years with our 70 Chevelle, and even 56 greater years with my wife, the gal, when 6 months PG, helped R&R the 4 spd an clutch from our 69 Super Bee, and about 12 years later, did the R&R on the differential of our 69 GTO so we could make the drag strip (I had a broken collar bone at the time), and she did that while I was at work. Truth of the matter IS, She puts up with Me, which also makes her a brave Women.
