Did the 1967 Chevelle SS 396 come with power steering that has a separate pump and reservoir or both in one unit? It seems to me that I have seen both on the '67's. Thanks.

All 65-68 BB used a short water pump and all the alt was mounted on the driver side. Period. 69 they went to a long water pump and the alt moved to the pass side. The 69 on up parts are more plentifully and cheaper and most use that set up.

Meaning that over the years, long water pump stuff has been swapped onto vehicles that were originally short pump equipped.

Swapping over to 69 and up water pumps leave NO room for a clutch fan set-up. I ran it that way for years then put the short water pump and remote P/S set-up back on.
