Has anyone repaired or have information on tilt column shift lever REPAIR on 66

I have just learned there is suppose a spring that keeps the shift lever on Park and not allow the lever to be directly pulled down into Reverse. Is this repair difficult? Or do I have to find a person that repairs 66 columns? Thanks

Jim, it will require disassembly of the upper part of the steering column/shift bucket. Jim Shea posted a bunch of instructions years ago, they may be in the archives somewhere. You could possibly ask Dean if he can give you a link. Good luck!

I have been searching for those papers, can’t find them. Accessed them years ago for others steering issues. Hope one one can help.
