I am not too familiar with 69 radios so I thought I would post and make sure before I list it. I do not see any labels or numbers on it, but I think it is for a 69 Chevelle.
Thanks

Ok, so 69 like 70, 71,72 chevelle. Any ideas what this radio is for?
Thanks

There were two different radios in 69
My first 69 Malibu had a stereo radio which was two piece. I cant remember offhand what it was called but the last time I saw one for sale (several years ago) they were asking as I recall, $1,000.00 for it. I THINK that was the one with fins on the back.

My current 69 SS has the standard AM/FM radio.

Coppertop is the Radio expert on here.

We have 68 Chevelle am-fm radios and it is for sure not one of those .
66 or 67 Chevelle has a much different angle to face.
67-68 Camaro are very different.
Looked on epay and it does not match 68 Impala .
Does not match 67 Impala either.

Allz weez noze.

Dear Redman F1, Attached are Photos of my previous 1967 Chevelle AM-FM with the Rounded Push Buttons versus the 1966 Chevelle with Flat Push Buttons. However the part where the power wire of my 1967 Chevelle AM-FM Radiio is facing to the left as shown in my photo versus yours facing downward. More in Likely Your Radio is from a 1967 A Body Car as it has the rounded Push Buttons similar to a Chevelle. I Beleive that Your radio could be from a 1967 GTO, 1967 Cutlass, 1967 Skylark. I Hope my Photos will Help You.

That would be called a Multiplex

The radio in question was removed from a 1968 Chevrolet "B" Body. Bel-Air, Caprice, Impala, etc. Delco Model 7303231.

THIS WILL NOT FIT A CHEVELLE.

1967 and 1968 full size vehicle radios look almost identical, but, the "greenish" font was used on 1968's, along with the rounded, more pronounced tips of the pushbuttons.

The audio output transistor on the unit pictured had been replaced/swapped sometime during its life. The date code is wrong, but that does not hurt the value, only causes confusion for those trying to verify the ID.

It's really a shame that the corporate ownership of this site decided to "do away with" my Radio Tech section in which I had pictured virtually every radio option from every year of the first generation Chevelle line for owners to help ID the correct ones for their cars.

Back when these cars were new, the radios were very application specific.
