Nice car that was obviously garage kept and probably gently used. Don't believe the 31K mileage on the odometer is accurate. Mileage is most likely 131K or someone disconnected speedo which was common back in the day. Has been repainted. Not particularly valueable but certainly a very nice driver.

Cream puffs like that are always brown or green and plain jane. Theres a reason.

It speaks to the type of person that originally bought the car. It was most likely a second car perhaps for the wife. Garaged from day 1 and never driven in the winter. Doubt the kids (if owner had any) were ever given access to the car. The buyer probably fretted for weeks over the $400.00 that the air conditioning cost. Was always driven conservatively. I'll bet there was hell to pay for the hole in the headliner.

My car has been gone through many times. It is a documented, 30K mile car. It was a garaged, grocery getter for much of it's life... I can definitely believe this one is 31K original miles.

Couple reasons why I disagree. A car with 31K miles and most likely treated as this one was should not need repainted. Let alone the repaint shows evidence of heavy use with many nicks in the paint. One give away on heavy use is the condition of the lock cylinder on the trunk. It is scratched up pretty well. The only way it gets scratched up like that is from heavy use. The lock cylinder on my 69 is not nearly in that condition (it's original I believe) and my car has plenty of miles.
Original owner had car for 50 years. Had 29K on it when second owner bought it. That's an average of 580 miles per year. Some cars have that low of mileage but I'd say it is rare. Very rare. So maybe it sat for 30 years? I doubt it as it doesn't show signs of that.
Seller says "showing 31K miles" and makes no claims at being original miles.

We can agree to disagree then. I've seen many much lower mileage cars with many more scratches and such than this one has.

Of course, that reason is, everyone likes colors of they're on choice.
If everybody liked the same color, all vehicles would be that same color.

Paint looks very good to me for a 52-year-old car that has been driven 31,000 miles.

Now theres a heap of conjecture! Could be that whoever originally bought it ended up not liking it real well too.

Would you keep a car for 50 years that you didn't like? That's highly doubtful and if someone did keep a car for fifty years they didn't like they definately wouldn't bother to maintain it or go through the trouble of repainting the vehicle. This car was loved by someone.

Maybe we should do less speculation on who/what the owner may or may not have done?
It’s a very clean car regardless.

What seems most likely is not always the case.
