If this is politics, please go ahead and delete. I do not want to talk about "gun control" either, but only want to ask a simple question : when did Americans turn into such chickenshit cowards that individuals feel compelled to shoot unarmed civilians?

We can debate the depth of social malaise that causes this. Nevertheless, I encourage EVERYONE including the press to label these non -human entities as the yellow-bellied cowards they truly are. Real men look u in the eye when they draw steel. The complete " candyass-ifcation" of our society ensues.

Big man with gun and no conscience biggest cowards of all. Sometimes i wish the cowardly malcontents would pick on folks that can draw faster.

Please dont call it a "man hunt" anymore, its a search for a coward.

I don't get it, how people can be so coward to attack innocent people. Share something, this past Tuesday, no more than 1/8 mile from my street, wife calls me, woman in front of her hit a deer. Young spike, it was still able to run but had a severe head wound, bleeding from eyes (assume it got blinded), couldn't see where the guard rail was to jump it. Drive to bottom of my street, walk the 1/8 mile to where this deer is frantically in panic mode and obviously suffering. At this point there are 4 cars and a school bus backed up each way. I put the deer down. Point being, it still got my pulse racing and still felt emotion. How the heck do killers not feel anything??

Take guns out of the equation because it could have been any object to kill another. This discussion dives deep into the human psyche!

I’ve endured so many detective movies as my wife loves them so I compromise and watch them sometimes with her. In my opinion, this all has came about due to the breakdown of family values. I think since Pandora’s box has been open it won’t be closed leading to an epidemic of hate crimes.

"Relevant" observations can be made in the Westerns. As Marshall Dillon digressed, "There's always somebody needs killing."

Ever hear the word Jonesboro? Possibly some of the original school shooter uppers. And y'know what, once they were adults they were running around Fayetteville as adults... FREE... one got caught toting a handgun and weed. Yes, murderers. Of kids. Free to roam as adults. Come on, somebody splash em. But no.

I have noticed that two characters who would never dream of being impolite or using improper speech, Cisco Kid and Lone Ranger, do have a procedure for when justice falls short. Say a boy's dog was shot by a henchman during a crime spree and after everybody that needs it gets strung up but that straggler henchman didn't get his from the Judge...

They find the cat drinkin in the saloon.

Lone Ranger, who never so much as uses contractions, walks up to them and proclaims: "Yer yella. Yes, you. You're a coward. I've come to give you the whipping you deserve." Where everyone can see. And for a bit longer than one might anticipate!

Cisco Kid though, being more of a ladies man, simply approaches them and loudly gets their attention: "You. Sir. Do not know how to make love to your wife." With south of the border inflection. That always gets em riled and its on.

And they don't promptly stop once the man is down. They finish the job proper, assuring a thorough shaming among peers.

Neither would stand for someone slipping through the cracks in justice. These recent years whack jobs are suicide by police, plain and simple. Chicken shit muff huggers who can't handle being alive. Giving guns a bad rap.

Exactly the system failed again, he’s a ex firearm instructor that has been locked up for mental illness and made documented threats. The media and Gov. will blame it on the gun. It’s too convenient.

Might be the 1966 UT texas tower shootings in Austin. Not sure if there were any documented mass shootings before that. Terrible event. Whitman's brain was dissected afterwards, a large brain tumor was apparently found.

The mental health of the nation is in steady decline, unfortunately.
We try to medicate it, rather than fix the root cause.

World news and social media 24/7 has us all on edge all the time.
Our processed food and lack of exercise has us depressed and anxious.
It's not healthy, and someone's bound to crack eventually.

I can say this much. If any mental patient, nut job, disturbed individual should happen to cause harm to anyone of my loved ones they better make sure they never allow access to that person again because I would make it my life’s mission to dispose of that person in the most inhumane manner that I could conceive. They could save the tax payers a bundle as I would handle it myself.

I loved Matt's and Derek's comments, but not in a smiling positive way., "hammer the nail on the head" love way. ( "2X4 upside the head" as we used to say in interrogation school ;) )

Dean, I said WE as for some reason I see this as a COLLECTIVE responsibility. 2ND Amendment, among other things, was/is a collective self-defense pact amongst us citizens. Not only does what Kiefer speak of augur on, but more and more of us " turn the other cheek" or simply say, " oh its mental illness". We rely on cops to save the day. How's that working out for US?

No kidding its mental illness. That is like saying gas causes speeding. It tell us nothing, just a mental "cop out". Funny call out when , as a point of fact, many pros beleive the whole society is wallowing in a form of psycho-poop.

I hear it from Black men mostly, those " hard conversations we have to have". They got that exactly precisely right. In that light, I'd like to get back to, if you don't mind the expression ( coming from a contra-racist funkateer ) of "calling a spade, a spade! "

Mentally derainged? Dissect the brain ? Naw, chickenshit cowards who lust of being uber slave masters. GIve it no quarter but to see it for EXACTLY what it is, and unass it. Weak brained chickenshits need help too!

So KIDS, DON'T EVER BE CANDYASSES! ;) ( dang, i's serious)

Sounds like our current admin, except they do it with a fountainpen, instead of a gun.

I don't know if there is anyone to blame. People are just relating their feelings on the subject. If I was to say who is responsible for the responses being there I would have to say Gene as he is the one that started the thread.
