Looking for a consensus on who everyone thinks is the best supplier of restoration parts? We’re headed to Carlisle in September and want to order a bunch of parts. This will help us with calling those that are attending the show to have the parts there for us. Many thanks
Jamie

I'd vote for NPD overall, but I don't think they show up at Carlisle.

I'd bet Lutty's will be there since they are local to Pennsylvania. They are not as well known, but they are great to deal with, have a large inventory & competitive pricing.

I see reading is not on your guys list of things to do. he wants to pick what he orders at fall Carlisle swap meet in sept. out of everything listed only two of those vendors are listed
Does it matter that much that you feel the need to bust peoples chops?
My intention was to offer a alternate solution to getting parts... NPD has free shipping at a certain price point, so if the Carlise vendors don't have what he's looking for he'll have a 'recommended' place to shop.

Any Google search will yield results of chevelle resto houses. But Google won't tell you who will be at carisle. And that is what he is asking. Not sure why that is hard to understand. Hell there is most likely a thousand threads on this site who people use for parts houses

I think you have the reading (comprehension) problem Kieth. Now you may be right (or wrong) in what the op is asking, but the way it's worded we answered him accurately.

this is what the op asked. Out off all the vendors listed in this thread who will be there?

I can remember going to Carlisle many years ago (I live within an hour away) and I remember most of the Chevelle product suppliers, as they were there with their semi trailers full of parts! Sadly most of them are either no longer in business or don’t go to Carlisle anymore. I rely on many places for parts depending on cost and shipping cost (which can be a killer these days).

Ground up quit going there at least 10-15 years ago. And after the way they treated me I'm glad. After they wouldn't give me the time of day o walked to Ausleys and talked to the owner Roger and his sales man and started a friendship that has lated to this day going on 19 years. There was a few smaller outfits that use to come but they all went under Luttys still goes but I found their prices higher and not nearly as many items than Auselys. None other outfit goes up there. There is some smaller out fits they will be there but I wouldn't waste my time with them. If Roger has the parts in stock in NC we will bring it to the show for you I carried out about half of my car from him.

KeithB... Let's take a look at the full question he posted instead of just the part that you want to use...
The very first question asks what the consensus is on who everyone thinks is the best supplier... Then he goes on to say then he will contact those going to the show, not of all the suppliers going to the show who is the best.

Roger is a great guy to deal with. Don't know about half a car worth of parts, but I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at Ausley's. A very down to earth and personable company - much more so than OPG where I have done business as well - must be a California thing...
