basically doing a budget/use my junk build. buddy's thinking about getting rid of his 60 over 454 rotating assy. it's got the srp 10 to 1 domed pistons for the 110cc eddy heads. xe 274 cam eddy rpm heads, rpm intake. probably end up in my 66 chevelle M20 3.55 rear with manual brakes.
any ball park on torque hp? it's getting a 3310 holley and full length Hedman headers. jim

The RPM heads have what size chamber? May be able to run it on less than 93 ( sea level ) or 91 @ 5000'. which is nice not have to run super and worry about ping. Should do 500 ft lbs with any decent tune. No need to spitball HP for "use my junk" builds, it'll be at least 500 ft lbs of fun! Get an ET if you need to know, that don't lie.

Where i was in AZ we were at 5000', so 500 ft lbs corrected. At any rate, its a good "mismatch" of well matched components frankly! Gonna be fun! ALL Rats-on-a-stick are! M20 is gonna HATE LIFE! That I GUA-RAN-TEE!

heads are 60459, definetly will be easy on the trans. rear tires are 255 60 15 so it's not going to hook very well for sure. jim

Basic LS5 build. Just under 375-400 hp and around 500 lbs ft.
It will make more HP than that...
FACT: A good friend built a 454 with a little 226@.050 108 LSA .533 f/t hyd. Crane cam,049 heads with no porting (but with 2.19/1.88 valves installed)
9.8:1 compression, RPM intake, 750 DP
Made 476 HP at the crank and runs 12 teens with a 3.42 gear at 4,000 lbs.

Now lets looks at Jim's proposed build:
Edelbrock heads,10:1 compression,Comp 274XE is 230/236@.050 .552/.555 110 LSA,RPM intake.
Don't know if Jim has rectangular port or oval port...but I would estimate it should make between 490-515 HP at the crank and peak a little higher rpm wise with rectangular port heads.
Torque would probably be in the 520-530 ft/lb. range.

The ZZ454 has those heads and like 9:1, along with a 211/230 HR and makes almost 500. So...
