I’ve loved muscle cars since I was 12. I’m now 40. I’ve never owned one until today. I am excited about this car. It’s in decent condition, just needs to be cleaned up! I noticed today that the last four digits stamped on the block match the last four of the VIN. :) There’s definitely work to be done, but it’s a driving car!

Congrats… nothing like that feeling of driving a car made before you were born
It’s true! When my buddies and I were teens in the 90’s, and they had muscle cars, those night time cruises…so raw, the way these cars smell and feel and sound…imbedded my soul with desire for one.

It's great that you found a 350 Malibu with the SS hood already on it, it looks really good. I did the same exact thing to my '69 back in the 90's. I bought the SS hood and that was it, no SS badging, wasn't trying to make it look like something it wasn't.

Thanks! I didn’t realize my car had an SS hood on it. I certainly won’t try to make it a clone, I’m happy with it being a Malibu. I do like the hood.

Welcome to the site and congrats on your purchase. Share your plans for the 69.
I have a few suggestions if I may. Don't know what the previous owner did but if it still has original brake and suspension components you may want to check the condition of those. Common upgrades are replacing all suspension bushings including body mount bushings. Your ride quality will Thank you. Make sure all brake components are in good shape and functioning, such as emergency brake work, no leaking components, no rusty brake lines etc.
Those maintenance items are not look good things but safety items which are important.

Welcome. That's a nice looking car. What are your plans for it?
Plan #1 - STORE IT INSIDE.
Plan #2 - Drive it and enjoy it whenever I feel like it with my sons, ages 16, 13, 10, and my dad (67) and my wife, friends, coworkers, etc.
Plan #3 - Keep it maintained and gradually improve it over time…as time/money allow.
Plan #4 - Drag race it legally at least once, just because I’ve always wanted to.

"You've just taken your first step into a much larger world!"
Welcome!

Good looking ride! I finally got my Chevelle when I was 40, 3 1/2 years ago. Enjoy it, man.
