I have some detail left to do, but for the most part its in and done.

I will admit even though with Rambo's very thorough and detailed instructions, I didn't do the seats myself. I found a a
local upholstery guy that did the covering for what I feel is very reasonable considering how nice they turned out.

Its full Legendary with ACI buns.

Those came out great! Now you must really hate that dash pad.
I am trying not to notice it. For almost 60 years old it looks pretty good. As soon as I can find the correct color leather as the steering wheel I will have the dash repaired and covered. Dash pas is the last piece of the puzzle for the interior.

Thanks everyone. I am really liking the way the interior is looking

Looks great! Just keep an eye on all these lines. After my install I did a few years ago in my 69 convertible, I've had them start coming apart in certain areas on all my seats and door panels making those lines disappear in various places. It looked horrible. Legendary sent me new ones to replace them with after having to go through the hassle to send the messed up ones back to them which entailed undoing all the installed upholstery, and then after having everything reinstalled the new ones started doing it again after another six months but not as bad as the first set. The head rest covers were puckered around the seams really bad too. Trying to deal with Legendary was a hassle, also. I'll never buy Legendary stuff again. I know some people have had luck and like them, though.

Total bullshit that you had to deal with that, but thanks for sharing your experience with us. Legendary did you wrong more than once...defective product & terrible customer service. I'm glad you called them out on it...anyone in the market for an interior should keep a mental note of this. So are the covers in this photo your 3rd set from them?

I know many guys look down on PUI, but my dealings with them were the polar opposite of yours with Legendary. I had an issue with a set of mis-stamped '67 front door panels that sat in waiting for 5 years while the car was being restored. When I finally went to install them & realized they were misaligned, I contacted PUI & explained the issue. The customer service rep replaced them as soon she received my photos showing the issue. No questions asked, no need to return the faulty panels, new ones shipped on their dime to my door in less than a week.

Interesting, I've never seen legendary covers delaminate... but I constantly see it with PUI covers that are dielectrically sealed (heat stamped) like the 64, and 69 & 70 chevelle covers, 67-69 camaro covers, 65-69 GTO covers (And others!).
Any pics of your legendary coverts delaminating that you care to share?

For most things I'm a legendary fan, but completely agree that Legendary has terrible customer service. They act like you're a criminal trying to get one over on them to get a defect fixed. This is 100% why I recommend buying Legendary products through a middleman like NPD or Wellington Classics, instead of directly through legendary.
Per their policy, In the case of warranty issues you deal with the reseller not Legendary- the RESELLER deals with them, and because they buy in such volume legendary will do the right thing with a minimum of hassle, or at least the reseller gets to run interference so you don't have to. I have had both experiences and have to say it was much better with the reseller in between.

Of course if you want the legendary "sale" price, you have to buy direct from them... Just a little grain of info to keep in mind!

I've had defective covers/door panels with a variety of issues (delamination, stitching coming loose, sewn completely wrong, poor quality vinyl, panel design sewn crooked, missing sleeves) from PUI, TMI & Legendary so the expensive companies are definitely not immune from defects. (interestingly enough I've never had a defective cover from Distinctive or Classic Industries)
Of those 3, PUI has consistently been the easiest to work with, and the quickest to resolve problems (send replacement covers) for issues (of course I've also seen more issues from them than the others too).

Anyway, hopefully the OP won't have any of those kind of issues. the covers look great- hope they stay that way!

Thanks Ben.. funny thing is I talked to several upholsterers around and none believed in setting spring height or hog ringing the back bolster.
Our transpo department turned me on to this guy so I went out to meet with him.
I took your write up with me and mentioned spring height. LMAO this guy was much older than me (i'm 56) before i even pull out your instructions he says 4 inches and we will hog ring the back bolster. I hadnt even told him the year of the frames yet. He takes one look and says 64-65 A-body. LOL
He had actually taken some upholstery classes at the van nuys plant when he was in high school and the 64-65 A body is what he learned on.

The photo I posted is the OP's picture... I was just pointing out what to keep an eye on. I was very disappointed with Legendary after all the praise I heard about them, and of course after what I dealt with. I also know people look down on PUI as well. What's funny, is I have PUI upholstery in my Camaro that's been there since 2004 and it still looks as good as new, except a spot where a button on the back of one of my pants snagged a spot on the driver's seat and put a small hole in it.

I do have pictures... I have them saved on an external I can find and share. I agree with you on going though a middleman to buy them. The door panels I bought originally from NPD, and NPD was awesome and quick to swap them when I had the issues. The seat covering though was directly from Legendary that I had to deal with them about. I can't remember why I had to buy the covers directly from Legendary at the time... I think it was because of the price difference, or NPD didn't have them in stock for a 69 convertible at the time. This was about five or six years ago. I'll dig out the pics and share them.

Oh, and the padding beneath the convertible top boot all came detached from the boot itself, also.
