Good suggestions on disabling the ignition. I also use "The Club" to lock my steering wheel. If I go to a restaurant, store, etc., I always try to park where I can see it from inside. As has been stated many times, these might deter some, but if someone really want your car, it'll just slow them down. Best bet is to make sure you've got "classic" car insurance that will cover it for an agreed upon value if that day ever comes.

Best you can do is have a hidden kill switch and in combination with that a way to lock the hood because if they can open the hood they can bypass the kill switch in seconds. Or place battery in trunk then don’t have to worry about locking the hood. I rarely take my car somewhere that I cannot see it.

Get magnets that make the car look like a 4 door. I don't have any problems with mine. 😅 😉

'Secure' against theft? Nothing. A professional will steal your car if they want it. 'Joy riders' are more likely (in my opinion) to break stuff (trying to start a car) then actually succeed. Either way; make sure it's properly insured (stated value/no deductible) .

'Secure' against nimrods damaging paint/surfaces? Park it yourself far enough away so no one will witch about taking two spots. AND have proper insurance.

painted my car with rustoleum flat black, have a 4 speed and the car looks like Christine from the Steven King flick. Open carry your pistol when getting out of the car before covering it with your t shirt. jim

Hey guys, what does everyone do to secure your car when at a store or in a restaurant? I am finally approaching the end of my build and now wondering if it’s gonna be safe in a parking lot.
I don’t take it out to eat or the store. Just cruising and car shows.
