Not really that difficult, but takes time. My door panels and side glass were not in place as they were aftermarket doors, so that needs to be removed. Very important to mark all bolt locations, and depth of adjusting bolts. I found a YouTube video on taking the vents apart that was very helpful, i think it was for a 66 but the process was the same. Take pics as you take apart will help when putting back.

I did mine (1965) you need to take the door panels off and pull the parts out. One thing to consider is while you are there cleaning up other items such as the main window channel on other side of the vent window. Also not sure what shape your stuff is in but you made need to rechrome/replace a few things. This can be one of these jobs where - oh while I am here I think I should do this - situations. Also look into the vent window locks themselves I know on mine they were really worn out and flopping around.

I just replaced mine for the wagon. It's not that difficult, but it's a PITA if you know what I mean. The hardest part is squeezing the new rubber back into the U channel of the frame. Use some soapy water & a flat screwdriver, plus a lot of 4 letter words. Eventually you'll get it. Before disassembling each frame, make sure you take a pic to refer to so you can see how the glass & the rubber orient. It's easy to install the rubber on the wrong side & then the glass can't open properly.

Here's an important tip. You'll need to drill out the small rivets on the vent window, but do not drill out the large stainless rivet. Just replace the small rivets with pop rivets.

I found some bison YouTube, but they were 66-67, which I imagine is similar, but different parts.
I knew that the window assembly was going to have to come out. I don’t think I’ll be rechroming anything for the same reason I’m not inclined to paint it, it’s a slippery slope that gets expensive real fast.

Pete, your wagon should be the sameas my Camino. Coupes and convertibles list different parts. Where did you source your parts?

thanks

Yes they're the same ones as my wagon. I usually try to shop for parts at Hinshaws, NPD or Summit, but they were out of stock. I found them at the Parts Place for the best price.
