Yes, the small big block of the new generation of big blocks. Not quick enough but I’m fine with it. Probably get myself in trouble with anything bigger. I barely drive it.

Yeah, I sure have been lucky. I lit it up in front of my buddies house in town last summer, and I drove by the cops a block later while the smoke cloud was still in the air. He never came after me. I wasn't speeding but my tires were. 😁 It is EXTREMELY difficult to keep my foot out of it. It is also tough to keep it running though, so you might be smart to keep your small big block. (y)

Nice car Luci !

Beautiful Chevelle (y) the only way I think you'll find out how much HP you have is to either put it on a chassis dyno or go down a track, maybe PM or a Conversation? with one of the engine builders on this site that has probably built a few of the same combo you have for a close guesstimate

Thank you, yours as well. Have not done that yet, did get clocked in Louisiana at 130, ST was more interested in looking at car. I started rambling about carburetor was a piece of Sh!t and linkage must of have gotten stuck. He laughed and said slow it down and be safe so you can enjoy it. Get the carburetor fixed. Was lucky. All fun and games till the bride got sideways....It was worth it.....

Great looking 67. Sounds like you have a pretty potent 454. I'd take it to the track, weigh it if they have scales and make a few passes. That should give you a good ball park figure on the HP.
Thank you, Just not much of a drag guy, matter of fact never participated. I should put in on the list and do it...

Yes, it does.
Okay, do you have heat tape where it goes through passenger floor ? By the exhaust manifold ? Mine did not and I melted the outer casing and of course ruined the cable. I think I read from factory is had yellow heat tape 3" from grommet. Leading from hole toward trans ? probably wrong thread just wondering. I have to drop dash and install a new one and I don't want to do it again.
