For those who are not on face book , I recently bought this 70 chevelle convertible . It has some cool options , like power windows , brakes and steering ,remote mirror , gauges , rear defroster , mirror lamp , washer fluid indicator ect .. It came with two build sheets and the original numbers matching drive line . Thanks for looking : )

EXCELLENT!!!
What a bunch of unique options, some of which are not very common.
If it were my car---------------------AND IT IS NOT----------------------it would immediately get a CI hood.

Our 70 conv is a Malibu (not a true SS) and I have added several of the options that are on your car. Most of them I got from some of the members right here on TC (lighted mirror, remote mirror, trunk and hood lights, remote trunk release, ash tray light, etc, etc). Rear window defroster on a conv is really rare!

Oh ya, I DO NOT do facebook or any of that social media stuff. I also despise cell phones with a passion. This forum and a couple of others are as close as I get to any kind of social media-----------------------------------I have a life besides my face being stuck in a phone.

Gotta love a 70 convertible! Nice score for sure. Welcome to the club. You're going to love cruising with the top down, its great fun! My 70 vert has a lot of options too, but I'm missing a couple of yours. Mine has very rare rear seat shoulder harnesses, power top, windows, steering and brakes, rear defogger, cruise control, am/fm 8 track stereo, map light mirror, bumper guards, LS5 TH400, cowl induction hood, D88 stripes. I have a build sheet as well. Congratulations on your score!

It looks like your tube is there. There should be a small blower at the base of it. I can't see it in your picture. There is also a small grill that goes on the top of v shaped black vent. The top well goes between the vent and grill.

I have the grill its in the glove box i thought maybe something would run through the liner of the well so it would hit the actual window .

That v shaped vent connects the blower to the grill. It does blow on the rear window. It actually works pretty decent at clearing the fogged window. It won't actually defrost i don't think, but I've never had mine out in the winter.
