My fresh motor has a compcams retro hydraulic roller installed, when the oil warms up it is so noisy (valvoline VR 20/50) i have been over it with a stethoscope it sounds like a sewing machine but when that noise bounces of walls and parked cars it sounds like it needs a rebuild, I have seen some posts suggesting this is normal and you just live with it but it is very annoying, any one else having the same problem?

I have had to many complaints on Morel HYD lifters and have switched to Johnson Lifters, Much better quiet and you can adj. 1/8 of a turn, Having to adj. and HYD. lifter one full turn is not a good deal if the you float the valves.

I got it all back together with Howards roller lifters and it sounds 100% better, Comp Cams need to up their game! problem solved

A friend of mine rebuilt his 348 W chevy motor with comp cams roller kit. He is having a lot of noise from them.
This!!! One day people will learn....every cam, lifter etc I tried over the years failed. All of em.
Look at theissues the ls guys had with theirs wow thats just crappy qc. Giants get that way from cutting corners on you and marketing more...putting catchy names on stuff to sell it
Stay away from real fast ramp cams its not worth it.
Isky/Crower fan also
I think it's more like cheap chinese steel.
