3 Generation of Tumminello's take 4600# to the mid 10's...

This weekend, grandfather, son, and grandson ran a 10.50 in there 1969 Impala with a iron headed 427 BBC. The hard work by this family has paid off, but more so it has a family doing stuff together....

If you want his email let me know. Frank will share any info with you on how he has the car set up. Jon Rutledge and Dal Truby helped Frank out a bunch a few years ago to get Heavy down the track.

Nice, but does it still weigh in at 4600? Like how it destroyed the poppin & fartin ricer.

That's awesome! Love everything about the car and the build, but I will question the accuracy of those scales. My 65 Impala (admittedly a small block car) weighs just over 4,000 lbs with a 210 lb driver on board, and this is in full street trim - bench seat, 15" x 7" steel rally wheels on all four corners, etc. Not sure I can see another 600 lbs even with a BBC and a roll cage.

My 67 Impala with 467/Turbo 400 and dedicated LPG system (no gasoline tank, etc.) weighs just over 4600 lb with me (235 lb) in it. Car is basically stock otherwise. I weighed it when it had a Turbo 350 in it so if anything it is probably heavier now.
