Watchout for the internet tough guy! In one sentence you threaten me, in the next you tell me how you're above threatening me, lol.

Thomas, Ed's a good guy, i've know him for just about 5 years now. He's always had the same approach to how he feels about this stuff. If someone thinks he's wrong, they better have the evidence to back it up.
Hey dude, you threw the gauntlet down by posting something you know would stir some fecal matter. Don't cry when you get it thrown back in your face.

that attention whore looks like she needs ALL the attention ;) :D

Bottom line, wether you like the guy or not is that his car went a 10.11 @ 130 MPH w/a 1.31 60 ft.

He can keep his drama and everyone can keep theirs.
I like facts,only facts..maybe with a little humor thrown in too :)

Well my '69 chevelle has gone 10.23 @ 129+ not on "kill"
I can honestly say haven't gone 1.31, but have gone 1.38
just over 11:1 with rectangular port heads ;)

With mine set on "kill" and DA 1100' air...I would be in the 10.teens as well.

I don't say much about it because, I honestly don't think it matters, everyone has there own ideas, and to each their own. but there is more than one way to get a chevelle to go low 10's.

Sweet!

Wish I could be that good at stomping on a pedal and holding a wheel straight......but I like to drive where skills play a role.

I was going to get into bracket but then I realized it may, in fact, turn me into a woman on the internet. I like my pecker as much as I like to drive and am unwilling to sacrifice either of them for the sake of being able to say "I stomped on a pedal and held onto a wheel for 10 seconds AND - I even told everyone I would hold on for 10 seconds before I did it!!!!"

:p :waving:

Yea it is real easy. So Top Fuel must be even easier because you only have to hold the wheel straight for 4.5 seconds right?

Now that's some funny chit...lol Hey Beaux, I take it your kidding...because no one could be that big of an azz

Right. I dont even understand why they have a steering wheel. Should just be a button that reads "Go" and one that reads "Chute". When they "try" to steer what happens? Flip or they're in the next lane. So its safer to take the wheel away from them. ;)

I was more poking fun at the "my dad can beat up your dad" type mentality that seems to follow these threads.....

Back to the attention whore...if I could get my girlfriend to do a handstand like that, maybe my neck wouldn't hurt so much :D
Screw Ed. He probably spent most of his youth being belittled by somebody who's respect he really wanted, so now he takes it out on others. Childish prick, he is no doubt a true attention whore who craves kudos from others and thrives on belittling those who don't give 'em to him.

We should hang out, I could prove your theory incorrect in under 9.6 seconds. And i'll even tell you before hand that I will do it in 9.6 so I can move on to the next round.

Yes, sarcasm there and I was / am kidding. :D

All I was trying to say is that Ed's chevelle, isn't the only one out there. There are MANY others out there running just as faster and faster. And as most of us bracket racers know, how fast it is doesn't matter. Its all about consistency. And to be honest, I think the mid 11 to low 12 second cars seem to really take a stronghold on consistency.

I love the posted 1.29 60' but only a 1.31 to back it up... oh well... I guess if Jason Line had not wiggled a tad he would've gone 6.53, so maybe that should be the national record... sorry, but "what-if" numbers don't mean squat to me. Put it down the track and prove it.

It's a shame, b/c we should be above this crap!!

Changing the topic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brian,

Tell me what I need to do to my '67 First Gen. Camaro Car with an about 550hp/496 BB, an M-20 and a 3.31 posi in it to get it to 60'??

I have S/F/C's, full poly, h-d springs and slappers now!!

I want an 11.0!!!

I'm not a stick racer, but you need a bias ply "stick" tire to start. I'm not a fan of poly bushings to be honest, they create sticktion in the rotation of the bushing.

You also need to have a controlled spin the tire, as the car pitch rotates (wheelies).

Anyways, run it and let me know what it does first, then i'll make a recommendation on what to change first, other then moving to a Jerico and a Softlok clutch :D

Other then that Hit me up with a PM, Gene might learn something here, and i'd like to try and avoid that situation :D :D :D

Ed, that's flying!! Brian, did you drag out the Camaro?? If so How'd it run???...We brought my dad's car to Atco saturday...went 9.09@149 with a 1.255 60'...Conditions were there for an 8.9x pass, but they converted to 1/8 mile due to wind...There's always next time...

I feel sorry for that poor little Muncie:( It is sandwiched between grunt at the input shaft and a "not so forgiving" SLR at the tailshaft.
