I have 295/50/15's in the photo. Some trimming/grinding of the fender lip MAY be necessary (more as a precaution in my case) depending on bodywork already done to the car, and if the 12 bolt isn't in exactly center. Mine fit fine.

What tire brand/model is that? I'm looking for something other than BFG's whenever I wear my current set out. I haven't found any other companies making a 295/50 but I haven't looked too hard yet.

The backspacing on the wheel is what matters most. I have a 66 with 15x8" rally with 5" backspacing and it barely fits with a 275/50/15 MT Drag radial.

Yep, there is about 1/4" or so on the inside. It has only rubbed once I think, when I had 2 large friends of mine in the car.

In your particular case, you probably would have been better served with 4.5" backspace on that 8" wheel,,maybe even 4.75". That's why this stuff is so critical,,it doesn't take much either way to cause a problem.
