Wanted to know if anybody could help me on on my 67 chevelle. It has 2 inch dropped spindles in the front with disc brakes. The rear is stock. Looking for a set of 17 in. torq thrust 11. Want to run like a either 255x45x17 or 275x45x17 in the back and a 225x45x17 in the front. What backspacing will work or offsetting and do you think this tire size will look good or work? Any other recomendations on what might look better. I do like a slightly raked look. Thanks

I run 275/40/17 all around, so you tires sizes will fit easily (I have lots of extra room).

On the rear, I have a 17*9.5 rim with 5.5" BS... Pretty sure anywhere from 5.0" to 6.0"+ will fit... I currently have drums but am considering rear discs, so I got extra BS (rotors are a little thicker than drums and I might need a spacer to clear the calipers...)... If I was staying with the drums, I'd consider 5.0"- 5.25" BS (of course, I'd double check before ordering)...

For the front, I can't say, because I have C5 Corvette brakes on factory "drum" hubs... Not sure how much these will differ from factory...

I did temporarily run these rims with "factory" front discs (1969-1972 A-body discs), and they were okay, but I didn't check to see how much extra clearance I had... I have Hotchkis 1" drop springs... My fronts are 17*9.5 with 6.0" BS... I wanted to be sure to clear the outer fender, and still there is plenty of clearance on the inside...

Mine aren't TTII, but BS shouldn't matter much...

You might be limited to a 17x7 wheel with those dropped spindles.
Spend some time reading the wheel & tire databases at the top of the page. That will answer the majority of your questions.

Tony, are you running stock UCA's with that much backspace? What are you running for a front swaybar? Any clearance issues there?
