What is the max cam lift I can use without running the valves into the piston. I know I have to change the valve springs if I go over .525 lift. Also what is the max valve size for street/strip use the stock heads can take?

Anybody have a clue what lift this engine can take without piston to valve problems?

I don't know the answer, but I bet if you lob a call or e-mail to Salle Chevrolet, they can help. They have several "performance" upgrades for the ZZ4 that makes me think they have a good idea what's going on under the covers. Let mer know if they are able to help or not.
