Last week my company sent me to Pebble Beach for the car shows. As I pull in, I find out Mecum was hosting an auction right at my hotel. Got to see my first Z16 - It had a Team Chevelle sticker in the window and was listed as #20 in the registry. It sold for $131k - enjoy!

That seems to happen at Mecum - The car was over the top beautiful in person. The owner was not present, so I dare not lift the hood. I just double checked the registry and I don't think it's #20, at least from the paint and interiori combo. I have the VIN at home and I will check over the weekend to verify its actually on there.

Did you check out the front suspension? The front spindles of a true Z16 are different from a std. 1965 Chevelle.
Any info on the car available? Did it sell? Price seems very low, to me.

Nice car. I love Z16's I have a freind that has one with just under 30K original miles thats an unrestored car and looks just as nice as that one does.

I read the sheet wrong - it says its the 20th car, not 20 on the registry. From the VIN its actually listed as #23 on the registry. It did sell for $131K.
