I've seen enough to know I'd need spacers, but I'm also wondering about the size.

Have a chance to pick up some 2003 Z06 wheels and tires for $300. Decent price if they're in good shape. Fronts are 17x9.5 with +54mm offset and rears are 18x10.5 with 58mm offset.

Seem rather wide. This is for my 69 vert, which will be riding on the SC&C stage 2 with Eibach pro kit lowering springs (1").

Good deal or too much trouble to bother with?

Sounds like a score to me if the tires have some tread left.

Sorry I can't confirm if they'll fit without rubbing, but I'm pretty sure I've seen one or two 68-72 cars here or on LS1tech with those wheels & no body mods.

I might just snag them. Could always sell them later or put them on the minivan :)

My only complaint is that the offset is FWDish if that makes sense to you.
All new cars the face of the wheel is flush with the outside of the wheel vs our chevelles the face of the wheel is in the middle of the wheel

For $300, I'd get them while you can. They'll easily resell for that much if you change your mind in the future. Good for rollers over big brakes if nothing else.

They will fit 70-72s, I would assume the 69 as well. Z06 wheels are a good option light weight, OEM strength, and wide. You must run adapters not spacers.

I picked up a set of base c6 wheels for about the same price. I used 2 inch adaptors for the front and 2.5 for the rear on my 71 elky. They fit great, no trouble at all, and for the price its tough to beat
