With all the focus on EPA mileage now, if it was worth it every manufacturer would have some form of it on every new vehicle.
True,, can I change my vote,, I remember read something about Bill Elliot's in the 80's (I think) where someone one his team made a swirl like finish in the head to gain more power ans it work.
I guess after the makes a 90 degree angle turn and a couple more jerk and turns, that Tornado grap is out the window, huh.

The only tornado is the money leaving your wallet. Those kinds of items appeal to people who believe that the government would protect them from bogus consumer goods. The news item there is that the FCC and other beauracratic departments really don't care about the "no harm done" consumers goods: I.E.; that the purchase of that item will not harm the consumer.

Compare the 'tornado' to all the things we do to smooth the airflow into the carburator: contoured open element air filters, hp series carbs with smooth blended air horns, etc. Now juxtapose that with the idea of making air turbulent going into the carb. Installing a restriction in the path of airflow will not improve airflow.

if you get one, make sure to also get the magnet that goes on the fuel line and the electric fan that blows air into the engine.
maybe add some NOS octane booster to get that extra 1/10 of an octane boost, as well.

I will go on record as saying the ones they sell that sandwich between the carb and intake for S&S carbs on V-twins do help driveability. Especially on finicky old shovelheads. It's a thin plate with fins that induce swirl after the fuel is atomized, and actually does work to some extent. Although I don't know if the same company makes it.

Have you ever seen the guys on "Two guys garage" or whatever that is called now that is sponsered by that stupid Tornado insert? They look like they are selling their mom on the street every time they mention their "sponser."
Yea, seems Consumer Reports tested it and somewhere else. Both showed a very slight decrease in gas milage.
Total crap...
