Here's a rare console delete car. :clonk:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140993017127

Next, we will take a look at the interior of the ’67. It’s all done in black and has the factory buckets. This is a console delete car.
...and...

We will start off with the exterior of the Chevelle. If you stand back and take a good look down the sides you will see it’s straight with good fit of all the body panels. They added an SS hood and then...

Yeah, I've been waiting looking my whole life to find one of these! :hurray:

Finally, YES! This is a rare "SS delete" 67 Chevelle super sport.

As only the best informed people on this website know, all true SS came equipped as SS. But this SS model - which was equipped with the rare "SS delete" - is an SS... See the SS delete cars did not come equipped as an SS. Got it?

The giveaways the console delete option… Ultra rare!

It cost close to $2000 to get the SS delete, back in 67! You had to order the SS, and then the dealer removed all SS equipment and put Malibu stuff back on it, including the vin. Most people who ordered it had to wait weeks to get the car from the dealer.

I'm really surprised Tom Mobley missed this one... Tom, you're supposed to educate guys about that rare "SS delete" option. :D

She seems to get prettier with every add, but sense its a dealer I never read the add. Nor would I believe anything they would put in it. Not to mention buying from a classic car dealer - never.

I think it's a nice looking car. Since it's getting into the custom realm, a nice 454 would be a better engine choice, but for a cruiser, it would get a lot of looks.

I would think about $25,000 would be about right.

At least he is not trying to pawn it off as a phony SS.

Wrong... sure, 25k.... not a chance!... the seller's gonna except that. We all know what it takes to put a car like this together and also what it takes to purchase a car with this degree of build quality.....a lot more than 25k!! I would think more in the neighborhood of 35-40k. It's 1 thing to call the seller out and rub their nose in the false claims, it's another to reduce the value to an insult.

I wasn't trying to be insulting, but there are thousands of cars out there just like it, and just as nice, every week end at local Rallies, (no special investment pedigree other than being a really nice Chevelle), and that is what they will bring.

But I agree, it's really nice, and should bring more. But in todays market, in my opinion, it's just not there.

Note: I see where it just went over $25,000, so I guess I will have to take a back seat now.

That's a pretty car. I would think you would be hard pressed to build one for that price.

If the hot chick comes with it, it might be worth only 20k or so :D

Hey Jackie, didn't mean to jump your Chit. I agree with your posts for the most part. It just seems so obvious when looking at this 70 that it's got FAR more good points to dismiss them and let the mistakes take center stage.
