Anyone know anything about XP Prefetch?

Not sure but my computer seems to run faster after the directory is emptied.

Prefetch is designed to speed up your system by preloading app's that you use often, but as you've seen the directory can fill up so that you're prefetching so much that it can slow you down. A google search for "XP prefetch tweak" or something like that should give good info and if you're up to it, show you how to change your settings so that it works best for you.
