Probably. You may need different brackets and/or pulley on the pump--and maybe not.
The sector will bolt right in--you might have to change the pitman arm and/or the rag joint.
Is this a good swap? Probably not. I suspect the steering stops in the Malibu box are too restrictive, similar to the stops in the F and X body steering boxes. It all works, but when I installed an X box ('75 Nova) in my 'Camino, it now takes 40 acres to do a U-turn.
How many degrees of pitman arm movement do you have lock-to-lock? Someone else here is sure to know what the stock type will do.
The box will bolt right in. IF it is an SS box it is a quick ratio. Check the tech ref section for full info on this swap. If you currently have PS, you can use the same pitman arm. If not,, you will need a PS pitman arm. The pump will probably work - with brackets and pulley for your 71 setup. Use PS hoses to match the Malibu setup as the have a different type of fitting from the 71. I am not sure about the rag joint.
