I have one of the pair of license plates that came on the movie car from Pulp Fiction "The Bloody Nova". I took the front plate off when I sold the car to a high end dealership owner, he said he would never sell the car and it would be on display. I have some of the paper work from the studio, the receipt when one of the crew members who bought the car right after the movie was finished. I have seen regular pair of Calfornia blue plates for sale here for $250.00. Just curious. Thanks,Joe

Since I assume the plate is register to said Nova, it's worth nothing unless you have the Nova. As for it being on a movie car, who cares?
I gotta agree Its worth nothing to me, sorry but I don't see any value!

I wouldn't think there's much value, it's still attached to that car through DMV. I see black CA plates selling for $300+ for near perfect pairs and OR blue plates in similar cond worth just south of that. The plate you have is a conversation piece only and you're gonna have to provide the story because most won't recognize it. There's only 2 plates that tell their own story, THX138 and JHB434.

l:) Did you not like the answers you got? You are asking "What's it worth" to a group of car guys.... which is not much.
Try posting it up on a forum for movie memorabilia collectors, maybe worth something to someone over there.

I mean, really, who is going to see those plates and recognize them from the movie? No one :noway:

...with all due respect..you can't make a blanket statement like that..you never know what the public perceives as collectible or what they recognize. I think a picture of the car along with the plate, marketed the right way will sell. Can't predict for how much...but why not give it a shot.

I am a big fan of the Rockford Files, so California Blue Plate 853 OKG is pretty memorable. Jim's tan Firebird was pretty iconic to fans of the show.

Remember the 4-speed 64 Chevelle SS Convertible from Pulp Fiction?

Belonged to Tarantino before & after the movie. Eventually stolen from his residence and never located, though jerks on eBay pop-up from time-to-time "claiming" theirs is the "real" car.

The original script called for the car to be totaled in its big scene, but Travolta talked Tarantano out of it, saying it would up-stage Uma's OD.

:beers:
